August has not been a kind month

I know August isn’t the best month for Astrophotography from my latitude (52deg North). No full dark for most of July and August but having a near permanent cloud deck really hasn’t helped. A couple of weeks ago there was a slight (and I’m talking a couple of hours here) break in the clouds. It was nearly full moon so i thought I’d have a go imaging Jupiter with my 8″. I was planning to try out my X2 Barlow but I didn’t really have time.

Not great I know but at least you can see the banding. I managed about 5 minutes of frames before Jupiter moved behind the annoyingly large tree in my garden 🙁
